Johan Huizinga

play is older then culture, civilization hasn't added essential features to the genral idea of play. Play has allways been the same and you can relate it to animailsallso. Huizinga says "animals play just like men /children, we only have to watch young dogs to see that all the essentails of human play are present in there gambols". they invite one another to play, they keep to the rules for example do not bite or bit hard your brothers ear. they pretend to get angry to add to the fun of the play and for what simply for enjoyment.

play even in its simplest form to the a animal level its more then a mere physiological phenomennon or psychological reflex theres more to it. its more then just a biological activerty, in play there is something at play. whats at play then, "biological activerty", the human body we use it to play for the mind enjoyment, excitment, laughter many more.

psychology and physiology deal with the observation, description and explanation of play in animal, children and adults.
Animals and children play the same till a surten piont when children grown up more they stop playing surtain thing a animal would play for example play fighting, chase... they get more muture and find diffrent ways to play that animal couldnt do. and when it comes to adults they dont really like playing childest things.

what is the fun of play why do we get excited even whiching play like football even when you are just watching it you get excited. its another way of expireanting  fun someone scoring a goal its what you want.
