Looking back at the: Gender & The Gaze:
– Who’s looking at Who?  –

Gender duke nukem, shown on the first slide of the power point and a great example of whats rong with the male gaze, females to males representation. The man all tool strong and powerful and female in her underwear. It is so sexist to female, I played the demo of the game and that was just the man shooting monsters showing about being an idiot but whiles being the hero.

These images are just to prove my point of sexism of this game. I googled this game and went on images and scrolled all the way down and the only images of females where there’s two.

•          Gender : In contemporary thought and discourse, this term is primarily understood to be referring to a socially determined identity construct. That is, one’s gendered identity as culturally, rather than biologically determined.

This power point is sadly true males and female kind of have to wear curtain clothes other wise they will be pinned as gays or lesbians. So for example guys in today's world guys who wear tight clothes where make- up are looked at gay, but it shouldn't be like that same with females if seen with their hair cut wearing guy clothes they are seen to be lesbians, yes it is the style of homosexuality but the fact that if u aren’t and people see and think you are anyway wrong. isn't that sexist that u have to wear a certain thing to be seen as what you are,  also this sexist stereotypical view starts when you are a baby boys in blues and girls in pink, boys fire truck girls dolls.

•           Sex : This term is used to designate the subjects biologically determined identity as male or female. However, recent advances in medical technologies have introduced a far wider range of difference into out understanding of biologically determined sex.

Sex man women. Yes you are born like that, but there is nothing to say that you have to be girly or manly if you are man or women. Society has made it this way, that man has to be man and girl has to be girl.

Times have changed to prove things have changed wmen can have the most money have high end jobs even to a physical appearance. ”female bodybuilders.”

I started talking about stereotypes how man and women are seen in a certain way as in looks.

Going deeper in the issue, you have behavior and career and so on.

Behaviour between the male and female from the start says that women are a lot calmer than men but this isn’t really true man and women are different yes so women are calmer then men  but also some men are calmer then women is a bad stereotype saying that its true and also sexist.

And the same with careers males always say that men should have the better job even if teasing. There isn’t anything wrong with successful and powerful women just look at Roser park Debra Meaden  from the TV series Dragons Den, Oprah, Beyoncé and many more. And better yet females don’t even have to be beautiful to be inspiring and inspirational no offence, look at Susan Boyle, Ann widdecombe and if you just look at the good parts Margret thatcher.

God man myth

Looking at this image and the three words. First word god ok impossible mankind are only human. Second word man well the image of this sculpter shows off a perfect man and nobody is perfect. And the slat word myth I don’t really know what to say about this word maybe that perfect impossible is a myth that  kind of works  ye that’s kind of a great then in my opinion that being perfect is a myth.

Venus what’s she doing to show male gaze well her pose how she is standing is innocent delicate, perfect body perfect face for the male also naked next and I think the most shown to show that the is a paint for the male gaze is the women and men the women on the right running to cover up Venus why not a man aby because man want to keep looking. Then to the couple on the left its almost like hes running to her and the female is trying to pull him back.

The virgin mother I don’t really get this image how can you get a virgin mother. The thought that come to my head is that men what to be with her and the fact that she is a mother tell you it cant be I don’t really know.

This is like the exactly the opposite of the birth of venue a women shown imperfect. Showing her insecurity as u can see in the photo, in the corner of the room sad looking down and depressed more realistic of real live and its problems for people. Its ugly looking less for male gaze.  

   

Upsetting the male gaze

Can be a great  way  to find out if you or other people are gazing males gaze looks towards the beauty of females so when its gets stopped by seeing something it doesn't want to see, proves that people still do it.

this is clearly sexist towards women. the female is a complete object in the poster half naked with the logo of the brand just above the bum simply as and excuse to look or gaze. you cant even see her face its just her body posed to see the boobs.

advertisement uses women to advertise there product mostly all the time for males, in beer, cars, cleaning  and they go about doing that by tuning the female to a sex object which works.

My summary on gender and the male gaze

I know it is sexist making a female an object, and I don’t think they are what so ever! but I do like, it if a female is by a cold beer in advertisement. I’m a male nothing about being sexist they aren't just a pretty face it is an attraction.   

It doesn't matter what gender you have everyone should have equal rights. And to think otherwise is completely idiotic.

The male gaze has been going on for so long I don’t think it will ever stop hopefully it want be degrading in the future, may we will see women fully dressed instead of  being in a thong bent over something with a house wife smile.

Stereotypes aren't true at all even though I uses them for jokes quite a lot. Everyone is different doesn’t matter if your man or women. No one should be the same that want make you you, it’s always wrong for that expectation to be and look  what you gender is.
